Pianist Jan Hugo, UNISA  gold medallist, will bring the current Wagner Season to a close in a programme that takes a storyline from diabolical and romantic waltzes through water elements and back to what he notes: “like the cross being held against black magic”.

Jan Hugo was, at the age of 13, invited by Francesco Cipolletta to continue his studies in Modena, Italy, where he completed his B. Mus. He was accepted into the Accademia Pianistica Internazionale “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola, Italy, and participated in many masterclasses . He then moved to  Leipzig, where he completed his M Mus.  Hugo was a semifinalist at the International Liszt Piano Competition in Utrecht.
